I gave my husband an English Bulldog for Christmas this year. He arrived in October and his name is Duncan. Dr. Roen and his staff saved his life. Doctor didn't like the sound of Duncan's breathing and was afraid that he had heard an irregular heartbeat. He told us he felt Duncan was very ill and he had called WSU to report his findings. The doctor at WSU concurred with him and Dr. Roen advised us to take Duncan to the WSU Veterinary Hospital at once. Upon arriving at WSU, the vet again agreed with Dr. Roen's findings and advised us that it would be best that Duncan remain at WSU for a few days for further testing. Duncan was diagnosed with pneumonia and the irregular heartbeat Dr. Roen had heard was a narrowed aortic valve in his heart. We sincerely feel that Duncan, The Christmas Puppy, is with us this Christmas because of Dr. Roen, his staff and the students at WSU Veterinary School. Thank you.
