Atlanta Area School for Deaf is a state-funded residential school that provides educational programs for hearing impaired and multihandicapped hearing impaired students. Atlanta Area School for Deaf serves students from preschool through high school. In addition, it provides a state-wide, home-based, early intervention program that serves children of up to 5 years. The school also offers a comprehensive diagnostic and evaluation center. It provides training and technical assistance to parents, public school programs, community groups, and other agencies on a regional and statewide basis. It offers computer training programs and various recreational and leisure activities to students. The school also provides library, art and physical education to its students.
