Barstow Memorial School was built in 1930 as a memorial to Frederic Duclos Barstow by his parents. The school offers educational and extracurricular programs for children from grades prekindergarten through eight and enrolls more than 300 students annually. Located in Chittenden, Vt., it provides small and large classrooms, after school learning laboratories and extended session before and after school programs. The school s curriculum includes mathematics, English, science, foreign languages, history, geography and economics and offers a variety of sporting options, such as girl and boy s basketball, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, badminton, swimming, soccer, baseball and softball. Extracurricular activities at the school include Knowledge Bowl, Family, junior-senior banquet, senior trip, state fine arts and academic competitions, band and choir concerts and National Honor Society.
