I went on a kayaking trip with my nature group in 2011 and stayed at the Snug Harbor Marina on Chincoteague Island. The vacation was one of the most relaxing I have had in years. We spent our days kayaking around the islands exploring and the nights having dinner at dockside back at the marina. The hotel sits on the quiet side of the island and overlooks the wild ponies on Assateague island.

I have been going to Chincoteague for 5 years and never knew about Snug Harbor. I was on vacation this past summer and happen to rent kayaks from the marina to go bird watching and happened to notice the cute waterfront cottages. I wanted to stay a few days but they were full during the weekend but they told me they had one vacancy that started on Sunday, my vacation plans were to just stay the weekend but the waterfront cottage looked so cute I just had to stay a few more days. The cottage was a bit small but was very clean and cozy and had the best beds I have ever slept in and just steps away from the water. This is a great place for people looking for a true island vacation.

I love going to Chincoteague Va.I have been going for 34 years and have stayed at many of the hotels in town.Snug Harbor is a home away from home. It's not a luxury hotel but it is a very nice comfortable and very clean hotel with the best view in Chincoteague.The service is top notch and the price is even better!

Snug Harbor was a great find on a very busy weekend.I went to Chincoteague during the July 4th holiday without a reservation and had a bad time finding a hotel with an opening.I looked and looked and spent all day trying toi find a hotel with a vacancy.I went to Snug Harbor and they were booked also but were very helpful in finding us accommodations,they called all around town until they found us a place to stay.Snug Harbor saved our vacation! We all fell in love with the place as soon as we saw it and after the holiday we decided to stay a couple nights at the Snug Harbor Marina and liked the accommodations very much.The hotel sits right outside of town and is waterfront,overlooking the Assateague Island.If you visit Chincoteague or Snug Harbor you might see us this summer,just look for the old guy with the Panama Jack hat.

I was looking for a great summer vacation spot and looked and looked for the perfect location and found the Snug Harbor Marina. I liked the fact it was waterfront and that the rooms were only $99.00.I was a little scared because where I come from waterfront rooms run about $250.00 per night but when I arrived I was very pleased.The cottages are very cute with grand views and they have access to their own private secluded beach.I would love to go back one day.Thanks Snug Harbor for the great vacation!

Snug Harbor Marina is a waterfront hotel that offers great accommodations at very low rates.I vacation in Chincoteague each and every summer and always find myself going back to Snug Harbor.My cottage overlooks Assateague Island and the wild Chincoteague ponies.In the evenings I sit along the dockside and watch the sunset while drinking a glass of wine...thinking there is no better place to be than Chincoteague.
