Citrus Avenue Elementary School, founded in 1936, provides educational services to more than 450 students in kindergarten through six. It is a Title I identified school and receives federal funding. The school has an active parent-teacher organization and a school site council, which is responsible for the direction and budgeting of its special programs. Its academic curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign languages and health education. The school s library stocks a variety of picture and course books and other reference material. In addition, it offers academic counseling services and health screenings. Citrus Avenue Elementary School is a part of the Chico Unified School District and is located in Chico, Calif.
