I definitely wouldn't recommend Vantage Boat Share in Chicago, with all the options out there-save yourself a headache. I rented with them to celebrate with my family members and brought food, beverages and music/playlists. When we arrived, we had to wait at least 30 to 40 minutes past our cruise time for a boat to come back in. After the boat returned, the employee checked the equipment and we went on our way. We tinkered with the speaker provided by Vantage Boat Share for some time-only to realize that they'd sent us out with an un-charged/dead speaker. What is a celebration without music??? After 15 minutes into our cruise, we decided to turn around and go back to the dock to exchange the non-functioning speaker, for one that was charged up. We still tried to make the best of the situation. Upon returning to the dock, I explained about the speaker, but the employee advised that they didn't have an extra speaker... Needless to say, we weren't happy. The employee advised that we could just hang out at the dock for the remainder of our cruise (BUMMER) and he assured me that Vantage Boat Share would allow us to re-schedule our cruise due to inadequate equipment-at no charge. Our evening was ruined, and we agreed to a "do-over" another day. The next day, I called Vantage Boat Share to schedule it and was given the run-a-round... Called everyday for a week and finally spoke with the manager, that stated they wouldn't honor a do over. I was also told that the employee working that night had quit that week and they couldn't verify this with him... We didn't get what we paid for and this did happen to us. A TOTAL waste of time and money!!! They didn't make any effort to make this right and basically they had a "too bad-so sad" attitude about it. I will NEVER give this company another cent of my money and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
