Do not mail here if you can avoid it. I sent an international package first class , it never arrived to the recipient nor was returned to me. Makes me suspicious. Make sure to send registered mail, so you can track your package.

Awful service. My mother sent me $100.00 in cash which was lost, along with my absentee ballot. My vote won't be counted because this branch somehow lost it. I'm thoroughly disgusted.

Worst Service Ever - I just left the post office wanting to get a letter hand cancelled. Waited in line for 20 minutes and the manager told me that they don't offer that service here. I thought this was a bit strange so I called the Post Office General and he explained that every post office has the ability and that the Fort Dearborn locations manager has been very confused with rules and regulations, but has been working for the USPS for several years (so i guess that makes it okay). I would avoid this post office, they really don't care, because if they don't want to do it, they wont. Good Luck.
There appears to be a total lack of supervision of staff and what they say and do - they actually abuse customers are rude and abnoxious - its just unbelievable how this can go by unnoticed.
Wretched lines, missing forms and supplies, staff lacks knowledge of the POs own policies--at times I have brought pages from the Domestic Mail Manual to backup my rates, little knowledge of international shipping regulations/options, no parking, rude staff....need I go on?
I just read over the ABUSE policy for this site and the only thing I can say is that there really is no possible way to describe my experience without abusing this policy...This post office is the worst ever! There is always a line of at least 15 people and only 1 to 2 employees working behind the counter. The employees seem to HATE their jobs. They work slower than turtles and they are always very disrespectful toward the clients! This place needs a total overhall. The management should beembarrassedd. In fact, I'm surprised none has gone postal there yet. The service is despicable!
The customer service is awful, I was on hold for more then 15 minutes, waiting for someone to pick up in the Business Reply Office. THAT MAKES NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER!!!!!!
