Unfortunately, the Palmer House Hilton was a disappointment for me. I was most surprised by the lack of free Wireless Internet in the guest rooms. One would think that a hotel of this stature would address the basic technology needs of business travelers. Nor is there free Wifi in the lobby; it's $6+/hour. They do offer ethernet connection for $12+/day in the rooms. TIP: The Corner Bakery downstairs offers free Wi-fiPrkg around the hotel is extremely limited, & the hotel charges $45/day for valet; $35/day for self-park. If you're by yourself the doorpeople won't allow you to leave the car out front for a few minutes while you check in.TIP: There's a 15-min flasher zone across the street. You can park there (Watch the signs; prkg is prohibited during rush hours), check-in, and then go look for prkg options. Bottled water in the room was a whopping $12+. TIP: Instead, pick up bottles from one of the many nearby stores. The room itself was outdated but spacious.
