Komatsu America Industries is a subsidiary of Komatsu America Corporation. Komatsu America Corporation began its operations in 1970 as Komatsu. Since its founding, the company has grown to become one of the largest suppliers of construction equipment in North America, with more than 2,500 employees. In 1996 the company formally became known as Komatsu America Corporation. It manufactures and markets Komatsu, Dressta and Galion lines of hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders, crawler dozers, off-highway trucks and motor graders. The company s global mining marketing division, is a leading supplier of mining equipment in North America, manufacturing and marketing the Komatsu loader, dozer, truck, shovel, grader and modular mining lines. The Komatsu utility division is a supplier of construction, utility and rental products, and markets the Komatsu line of backhoe loaders, compact excavators, compact wheel loaders and compact dozers.
