I wish the woman (who by the way, was a senior student, the instructor advised me was already finished but was simply waiting on her license) who did my nails knew more about etiquette and professionalism. I had a 6 o' clock appointment, for which I arrived exactly on time. As my arrival was announced to my nail tech, she reluctantly and with a loud sigh of anguish took her place at the pedicure chair. She preps and looks at my toes. Complains that I have on glitter nail polish and how hard this was to remove. She got it all of after scraping and forcing it off. It was painful. I have never had such an experience with OPI Glitter nail polish. After finally being able to relax and enjoy her work (massage was great) I noticed she was not very good about cleaning or removing cuticles. She completes the pedi and starts my mani. The mani was fine until she notices that the nail polish I have selected is "too dry". She goes to find another color as close to my selection as possible. Pulls out a polish she purchased at the beauty show this year. Explains that the polish only requires one coat and it had some glitter on it as well. Go figure, it was almost 8 o'clock and I just needed to get home. She applies this product and we notice its not looking right. She calls her instructor over and asks for her advice. The instructor gives her a UV free topcoat and says that normally, she would have to add an extra $10 to my bill to use this stuff. But, she would do it for free. The stuff was applied and I was sent on my way. The two women assured me that my nails were dry and fine for me to go on about my day. The instructor applies oil on my toes and covers them with a bag. The tech suggests I take the bags off since I did bring my own flip flops. I get home and all my nails look like s*! I emailed them as soon as I got home that same night (which by the way, was the only way I could get someone to contact me about an appointment since they never answer their phone!) No response. I feel like a sucker and then tipping her above and beyond what she should have gotten makes me feel even stupider. NEVER AGAIN ELMA NAILS!!!!
