The Blommer Chocolate Company is a chocolate and cocoa manufacturer. The company s three factories are located in Union City, Calif.; East Greenville, Pa.; and Chicago. Its specialty cocoa product line includes a variety of powders such as black cocoa, which is often used in wafer-type cookies such as those for ice cream sandwiches or in sandwich cookies. Its cake-based cocoa powders are used in various dairy and baking applications. The nib-Dutched cocoa powders are offered in a spectrum of colors from deep red to brown. They are used in ice cream and drink mixes. Henry Blommer Sr., along with his brothers Al and Bernard, founded the Blommer Chocolate Company in 1939 at Chicago.
