This is one of the best Chicago antique stores there is. Family owned for more than 20 years, the owners have an eye for unique finds, and have an in-house workshop that can build, refurbish, and restore most anything. The store manager is an awesome guy, he has been with the company for at least 10 years. Jane runs the website which is very user friendly. They always offer a cup of coffee or an espresso when I'm there and always offer clean washrooms, too. The owners stand behind every item they sell, it may cost a bit more but, I've always been extremely happy at Old Plank. Designers from all over the world purchase items for their clients at OPR, you should try them too. They have much more inventory than they have online, it has a stellar collection of mirrors and reproduction furniture like the stuff at Restoration Hardware and Crate and Barrel but, with much better prices.
