Vesuvius provides services in the molten metal, glass and renewable energy industries. Based in Chicago Heights, Ill., the firm offers a number of iron and steel products, such as continuous temperature measurement instruments, process automation and lining materials, to name a few. Additionally, it provides products, including pre-cast insulating materials, metallurgical powders, furniture, purging systems and radar-slag detection. The firm operates 70 manufacturing plants in 40 countries. Vesuvius serves in various areas that include Africa, Asia, India, Europe, North America and South America.
