General Info

Tour Mary Baker Eddy's last home, a large stone building originally built for a Boston family in the 1880s. When Mrs. Eddy purchased the home, she had it significantly renovated, adding a large addition to accommodate the needs of her growing staff. By the time she moved here, she was the recognized leader of a worldwide religious movement. She occupied a modest suite on the second floor, while most of the house served as executive headquarters for her to carry forward her work for the Christian Science movement. During her three years' residence here, she founded the international newspaper, "The Christian Science Monitor," still published today. She also made final revisions to her major work, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Temporarily closed for restoration.Tour Mary Baker Eddy's last home, a large stone building originally built for a Boston family in the 1880s.
