Brummitt Elementary School is a coeducational institution that provides academic instruction to students in kindergarten through grade four. The school has a library that provides access to online encyclopedias, dictionaries, maps, magazines, newspapers, databases, graphics and other reference materials. Its core curriculum includes various subjects, such as art; health, special and physical education; speech and language; math; science; social studies; and technology. In addition, the school has a cafeteria that serves a variety of food items to students. Located in Chesterton, Ind., Brummitt Elementary School maintains a parent-teacher organization and is a part of Duneland School Corporation.
