Always in the kitchen, I have had an immense passion for all things food as far back as I (and the rest of my friends and family) can remember. Through the years, I have burned plenty of dough, broken a spatula or two and even knocked the power out in my parents house when I was 13 (I still say my brother did it!) Through it all, I have learned quite a bit, continually brought the people in my life closer together and created lots of wonderful memories with my baking, cooking and non-stop culinary experimentation. As for my life to this point, I am a graduate of Cleveland State University where I earned my Bachelor's in Health Science and both during and after, have thoroughly enjoyed a career in a commercial kitchen for the last 10 years. In June of 2017, after years of hard work, preparation and dedication, my life completely changed when I was accepted to the Culinary Institute of America. The reality of working with the world's finest culinary professionals was here and I'd made the cut. My exhilaration quickly turned into concern when I reviewed tuition and other expenses. Like most, I considered student loans and even crowdfunding, but decided instead to take a much more unique approach and combine my skills and passion to raise the funds to pursue my dream. That is where my bakery and "Kelsey's Culinary Adventure" were born...half business, half campaign...both allowing me to do what I love to earn my tuition. So whether you donate to my cause or order any of my pastries or other products, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to my tuition and other expenses. Thank you so much for your support!
