I volunteered to bring in treats to work today. I firmly believe in supporting our local businesses so I decided I would stop at DiBlasis. Over the weekend, I bought a coupon book from the West Geauga Boosters. As luck would have it, there was a coupon for a free 1/2 dozen pastries from DiBlasis. I thought, "cool! I can use that!"I went in this morning. The selection was minimal, but we made due. When I used the coupon, the woman working there honored it but was not happy about it. She told me that they have no idea how they got in that book and that she never authorized that coupon. I ended up leaving there feeling guilty for bringing in the coupon. She was not nice about it. There is another one in the book and I now know that the coupon is NOT welcome at the bakery. She should have politely accepted the coupon then taken it up with the West Geauga booster and the chamber of commerce. I do not like feeling guilty so I will not return to that bakery.
