Chester Grade School, located in Chester, Ill., offers classes from grades prekindergarten through eight. The school offers a wide range of educational and extracurricular programs to provide students with the skills, innovative concepts, problem solving abilities, and self-confidence necessary to be responsible members of the society. Its extensive curriculum includes English, science, social studies, mathematics, performing and visual arts, and music. The school also provides various sport activities, field trips, reading programs, beta club and dance. The school has a parent-teacher organization to support the work of the school system, and a special education program for students with disabilities. It enrolls more than 670 students in Randolph County, Ill., and is operated by the Chester Community Unit School District 139.
