I just stayed this past weekend and had such a wonderful time. The people were so friendly and great to talk to. Everything that Pat told me on the phone from fishing to the children's events from 1 to 4 was correct information. I plan to stay there several more times. Do not do business with these thieves! Do not even make reservations here! This place will charge you to cancel your reservations even when you are canceling 11 days ahead of the reservations. When I made a reservation over the phone they did not mention anything about a cancelation fee, and when I called back 2 days later they refused to give me a full refund stating that they have a policy of returning only 80% of the deposit if canceled that far in advance, and 0% refund for cancellations the day of. When I asked them if they were seriously going to charge me $9 to cancel reservations 11 days out they cheerfully stated "Yup, thats the policy!" Apparently $9 dollars is worth more to them than bad reviews on all the websites.

Don't go to Chesapeake campground . They will rip you off ! Most the staff treat you like a number not a costumer . Some people will talk bad about you right behind your back . And there is this one guy( Archie) there that will tell lie's about you . Heck he lie's about everything . The security well can't say they have one some guy acts like he is one (Jim) but from what I heard he will steel your kids bike in a hart beat . Look at all the bikes they have to rent . speaking of renting DO NOT rent the golf carts batteries are bad and don't last NO REFUND ! The washers/dryers DO NOT WORK either again NO REFUNDS ! Also be careful of any equipment running around they have no maintenance on them bad brakes lose wheels very dangerous . this place don't deserve any stars
