- Dental ExaminationWe invite you to schedule a dental exam today. If you have your teeth cleaned on a regular basis, you decrease your risk of getting cavities or experiencing gum disease.
- X-rays
- Oral Cancer ScreeningOral Cancer Screening – If you are a tobacco user, you are at a higher risk for developing oral cancer. We are committed to the prevention of oral cancer through the early identification of pre-cancerous conditions, and provide screenings at each preventive care appointment.
- Teeth CleaningDental prophylaxis, commonly called prophy, refers to a routine, six-month teeth cleaning. It’s a preventative measure used to ward off gum and tooth disease.
- Fluoride Treatment
- Dental SealantsAs a practice, we are true believers that preventive care and education are the keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”. That’s why we focus on thorough exams – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re also concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed of your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
- Space MaintainersAn Acrylic partial denture is designed for patients with multiple missing teeth and is the most affordable partial denture that we offer. This can also be used as a temporary denture as a space maintainer while the gum line heals and while a new, permanent denture is being fabricated. This denture is not necessarily a good choice for the lower jaw.
- FillingsAlthough studies indicate that there are no measurable health risks to patients who have silver fillings, we do know that mercury is a toxic material when we are exposed at high, unsafe levels. For instance, we have been warned to limit the consumption of certain types of fish that carry high levels of mercury in them. However, with respect to amalgam fillings, the ADA maintains that when the mercury combines with the other components of the filling, it becomes an inactive substance that is safe.
- VeneersVeneers are thin, translucent shells bonded to the front of teeth. Usually customized from porcelain, they are durable, stain-resistant, and natural in appearance. Veneers conceal broken, chipped, discolored, and misshapen teeth, and provide an attractive and natural-looking smile in a minimal number of visits.
- CrownsA crown (or cap) is a covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size. A crown protects and strengthens tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations.
- BridgesDental bridges are so-named because they’re false teeth that bridge the gap left by missing teeth. Not only does a bridge help when you’ve lost a tooth, but it’s a solution when you have a space that’s making your other teeth loosen and drift out of place. A dental bridge can also resolve issues caused by a skewed bite.
- Dental BondingA tooth-colored, putty-like resin, is applied to the tooth and hardened with an ultraviolet or laser light, bonding the material to the tooth. Our dentists then trims, shapes, and polishes it. Bonding can repair your decayed, chipped, cracked, or misshapen teeth.
- Root Canal TreatmentEndodontics addresses infections of a tooth’s dental pulp. Pulp is soft tissue within the tooth that houses its blood vessels, nerves and connective tissue (canals). Trauma, severe decay or cracks can inflame or infect the pulp. When this happens, an endodontic treatment, or root canal, is performed to save the tooth from extraction.
- Deep CleaningPeriodontal scaling, or deep cleaning, is a outpatient procedure that non-surgically removes plaque, bacteria and tartar that’s built up below your gum line. Scaling goes much deeper than the standard dental cleaning you get during your regular checkup. The procedure is only used to treat advanced-stage gum disease.
- DenturesFull or partial dentures are an affordable alternative for patients who are missing some of all of their teeth. Call us today to explore the option that best fits your needs.
- Dental ImplantsDental implants are titanium screws that are surgically inserted into your jawbone. An implant is constructed of titanium, because the body does not perceive that substance as a foreign object. Over the course of several months, the bone heals around the implant, creating a strong foundation for your new tooth.
- Oral Surgery
- Tooth ExtractionsMany patients choose to support their denture with denture attachments, small implants that secure the denture to the lower jaw. This eliminates the need for denture paste, improves patient’s chewing ability, and prevents the jaw from shrinking over time, a natural result of tooth extractions. Not all patients are a candidate for denture attachments and the dentist will need to make a clinical decision during your meeting.
- OrthodonticsOrthodontics: Less visible and more effective brackets and wires are making straightening teeth with orthodontics much more appealing to adult patients. Also, in some cases, teeth may be straightened with custom-made, clear, removable aligners that require no braces.
