From the slow-cooked meats to the homemade fixin's, the hand cut fries to the fresh baked bread -- we promise you won't leave here hungry. Our generous portions are served up with a friendly smile and the small-town flair that makes our little neck of the woods so special.

I eat here every time I make it home to Northern Oklahoma. This place has the most wonderful, flavorful Barbecue...tender, smoked pork ribs (all you can eat every Sunday) and beef brisket, homemade BBQ sauces. Chicken Fried Steak with Country Gravy. Calf Fries. Steaks on Wednesday nights. Lots of other down home menu items that remind me of my mom's cooking...just as delicious but too numerous to mention. Cold Beer. If you are headed west on highway 64 towards Alva, Oklahoma you need to plan to stop here if you like Bar-B-Que...and if yer in a big rig, no worries...there's plenty of room to park!
Great comfort foods and service!!! Wednesday night steak night and Friday chicken fried steak lunch special is absolutely delicious. Also, the catered meals for banquets and receptions are awesome!!!! Love this place, never disappointed.
I love the fresh smoked ribs with the homemade barbecue sauce homemade coleslaw. One of the best barbecue places I have eaten. I have no problem driving 20 miles from my house to come here because the food is worth it.
Wednesday is steak night! It was delicious.Fast service, ice cold beers!!! Wonderful time with friends!!!
I usually love to eat here but last time me and my boyfriend went the watress decided to give herself a $10 tip on both of our tickets. Weeks later the mistake has still not been handled after talking to the manager several times.

When in the area of Cherokee, OK checkout the "SMOK-SHAK, Inc" in the ghost town of Ingersoll, OK. You'll be glad you did... Great food, great atmosphere and good small town folks... A very memorable experience...! Thanks, Carl (Mayor of Bean Creek ;)~
We were going here to eat 2 - 5 times a month, the granddaughter attends school in Alva, with from 3 to 5 in the party each time. I found out Tuesday, 8/24/2010, there is an extra charge for french fries, onion rings, and fried okra. Although these items are listed with the sides, of which you may choose, there is no place on any of the 7 pages of the menu that tell you you will have to pay extra for those items. I I would not mind paying extra since I want o-rings and okra, but I want to know I am, not find that at the register my bill is an average of 25% higher than I am expecting. Ms. Engle, the owner, you have conned me of my last $1.95 each for my 2 sides. I will never darken your doors again. Joe Bradford, Wakita, OK
My mother, Debra Engle, owns the Smok-Shak and I came across your review as I was doing research to design her website. I find it funny that you gave her a negative review for "hidden charges fraud". I'm looking directly at her menu and the text reads "You may sub Hand-cut Fries, Suzy Q's, Tator Tots, Onion Rings, or Fried Okra for only $1.59". We appreciate your past business and look forward to serving you again; however in the future we would appreciate the chance to address any concerns you have in person b/f you vent your frustrations on the web; especially when they are unfounded.
