Prices

They rip you off(would not recommend to anybody) for 240 lbs of metal I got $17 at Active Recycling but at Max Scrap I got only $10 for 540 lbs. what a rip off !

do not go here they ripped me off i had 113lbs worth of scrap aluminum and gave me $2.26 but i did not know how much it was worth stupid on my pert but that is not fair do not go here they need to be shut down those thieves only giving them 5 stars so it will be on top so u can all see how max is a thief

Nice, easy place to get cash for recyclables

I used to go to Simi Valley recycling center, but those losers stopped buying scrap. Max scrap metals is 10 minutes from the 118 freeway in Chatsworth, which makes it pretty convienient for Simi and West SF valley residents. You go grab a cart and cans, load up your stuff and take it to the guy at the scale. He gives a receipt, you take it to the cashier and get paid. Very fast and easy!!! The only thing is that you have to wait 4 days before getting payment the first time, due to a new California law. Once you are in the system, the second time you get paid immediately. Just bring a photo ID and it goes smooth. Happy overall and would recommend highly!
