The mission of National Optronics is to manufacture quality machinery that is used to process plastic lenses in both the surfacing and finishing areas of an optical laboratory. National Optronics sells and services machinery to all optical laboratories, superstores, chains and multi-location retailers and government facilities. Specializing in dry cut technology, National Optronics carries finishing and surfacing equipment and coordinating software. National Optronics' method of dry edging uses a carbide steel blade to cut a lens to size and shape. The sharpness and angle of the cutting blade is effective and accurate for processing plastic, polycarbonate and trivex lenses. Polishing is an option with the dry patternless edger through a moistened diamond imbedded polishing hub. National Optronics has been in business since 1979.
