The other whinny-assed complainers know nothing about the wonderful service that this store provides. If you need one bolt, and have an example, someone will find it for you. Bring in a leaking sink valve from an ancient faucet and someone will take as long as needed to piece together a fix. The return policies are based on their size. This is not a mega box store that can absorb loses! I choose Martin Hardware over (s)Lowes every time!
Whoever is in charge at this pathetic establishment should be ashamed of themselves. The only reason why this hell hole stays in business is because the location and that is widely known. Even the suppliers of this store are in agreement that this store is the most mis-managed place they have ever come across. They mark up products to make extra money for there pathetic selfs.
I concur with the other review - Martin Hardware has the worst "non-returnable" policy!!! The items that are not returnable are listed on a piece of paper taped to the counter. In my situation the other items I was purchasing covered up their "non-returnable sign". I bought a snow shovel which never touch the ground while in my possession - I never used it nor took off any of the stickers. The snow had a wooden handle and was too heavy for me so I went to return it and was interested in exchanging it for lighter one. NOPE! When I was told I could not return it I asked where was this stated because their return policy was never verbally explained to me. Yes, there on the counter was their sign but at the time of my purchase my other items had covered up the sign. MARTIN HARDWARE - you lost my business and I'm telling everyone I can how horrible you treat your customers!!
I made the terrible mistake of buying a kerosene heater there last week, then we decided to go in a different direction for our emergency heat needs. When I tried to return the unused, unopened heater, it turned out there was some tiny sign under the counter glass that I should have read saying that heaters are non-returnable. I complained that I should have been TOLD and was told to keep my voice down. NEVER again!
