Bellair Cleaning Services provided me with a bid to clean one room in a restaurant kitchen. The room contained a deep fat fryer, overhead exhaust system, a grill and stovetop, etc. The previous restaurant tenant had failed to clean the equipment in a responsible manner, and there was a lot of grease everywhere. Bellair wanted $1200 to clean the room and the equipment professionally, so I bit. The company showed up on time, but with only two people, one of whom was thoroughly unfamiliar with restaurant cleaning. The work was mediocre, and I had to request several times during the job that an area be cleaned or recleaned because it had been overlooked or done carelessly. To end the awful experience I paid the invoice, only to discover afterward that Bellair had swept much of the water and grease residue from their work into the air conditioning and heating vents on the kitchen floor. A subsequent inspection revealed a sagging air duct filled with water and grease. It had to be replaced, costing me an additional $178. Bellair never returned any of my calls or messages attempting to reach them to discuss the issue.
