The Fire Department of Albemarle County is primarily responsible for maintaining and improving the physical structures of the Albemarle County, including buildings, grounds and other infrastructure in the event of a fire hazard. The department renders copy services, mail services, building security, fleet management and street sign maintenance. It performs environmental management, water resources management and promotes pollution prevention. In addition, The Fire Department of Albemarle County provides building maintenance and repair, custodial services and landscaping services.
