This was a wonderful place to live until new owners (Cortland) took over. The original staff is awesome, My lease renewal price was jacked up (and only approved for 6 mths), while living among the chaos of reconstruction is not pleasant. I originally received many mixed messages about my options when letters were sent out about construction. The parking was a nightmare but they worked with me on that. The containers and construction dumpsters make it unsafe when getting home late at night because you cannot see your surroundings. The woman in charge told me that I shouldn't live in fear. Seriously? I don't live in fear, I just have common sense. On Memorial Day, they were cutting and grinding trees down by the pool. It was so loud sitting by the pool, we had to come in, the joy of relaxing by the pool was gone. Sadly, I once called this my home, now I cannot wait to leave.

I can barely begin to describe how horrific staying here has been. I'm furious as I type this review. We had to break our lease because of the HUGE spiders invading our house that we were killing on a DAILY basis. When they weren't scurrying across the room, I even took pictures. MULTIPLE! I wish there was a category for negative stars. Management will do anything to make everything seem beautiful and worth it when you arrive. Please don't fall for it. Kristin- the manager couldn't even explain our lease when it clearly stated that Waterford Lakes is to move us to another apartment while continuing the same lease if we have problems. Instead she said unless we pay $100 more, we would have to break our lease and pay a penalty of $350. We've complained numerous times about attempted break-ins to our house. It wasn't until AFTER our neighbors house was successfully broken into that they came to fix our locks. There have been SEVERAL more break-ins since, each in which there wasn't any notice given to residents until TWO WEEKS AFTER the incident and by notice I mean an email regarding "safety tips". Parking doesn't exist. Period. The sorry excuse for a "secure gate" and the security officer are a waste of money. He only sits in his car texting all night. My husband and I literally COUNTED the cars allowed to go through the gate at a time. It was 10. Then, when the 11th car arrives and the gate starts to close, it re-opens back up. DON'T EVER MOVE HERE!

I just move out of waterford lakes .My reason is that they are wrong . when me and my husband first move there they ask me& my husband did we have criminal back ground well i don"t but my huband do so he told them.That he have record.And they let us move in on july the tenth of last year. And i was hospitilazed . Went to stay with my moms to get better and get a phone call saying my lease is termined do to my husband back ground .I truly think its a race thing .with blacks and latinos
