I will never go to this so called house shop /weed drug head stylist . Hot mess , they need to be shut down waste of time and money . Pray for all who enter this shop. This is the kind of thing that make it hard for all black people.

If you are considering sisterlocks, this is NOT the place to go. I had them installed here and asked about what I should use to care for them and how I should care for them, the stylist told me to do nothing, to just sit back and watch them grow. So when I returned for a retightening, she acted upset that I had washed my own hair and told me that I should have come to them for that.



Well needless to say that I did not go back and a few months later after noticing all my new growth, I was about to just cut them all out and say forget the whole experience until I found a new stylist. The new stylist informed me thouroughly about how to care form my hair and stated that in fact I needed to be washing my hair all along in order for my locks to do just that...LOCK. What is funny though is when she asked me who had done my initial install, I paused before answering and she stated two names and one of which was the name of this particular stylist at Sista Locks and Braids.



She is not, I repeat NOT certified and neither are her daughters that have been seen installing locks on more than one occassion by others in the shop. The certification that is on her web site is outdated. Needless to say that I did not notice this until after the fact. I was just so thrilled that after months of research I had finally found what I thought to be a place on the up and up.

I highly recommend anyone thinking of getting locks to do your research and after that do more research. I went to this salon thinking I was getting the real thing only to find out months later that I was misinformed on how to take care of my hair once I had locks installed. When I asked if I should do anything as far as caring for them, I was told no, just sit back and watch them grow. Once I went for a tightening session, it was obvious that the stylist was upset that I took it upon myself to wash my hair. Not only that she didn't lock my hair all the way down and my guess is that because my hair is almost straight on the ends she thought that part of my hair was relaxed when in fact is was not. Imagine my surprise when my new loctician told me that I should have been washing my hair because its needed in order for my hair to lock. I do not recommend this salon to anyone. Oh and by the way, look closely at her locking certificate, notice the date. I urge you to learn from my mistake.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY....THEY ARE NOT DOING THE REAL THANG "SISTERLOCKS" if you go there and pay them your hard earned money, you may as well give it to me....hell, I can find a better use for it (trip to the beach, purchase a new watch, a new laptop....donate some to the homeless (hopefully you get the picture). i was a customer (twice, young and dumb) and I lost over 700 dollars between both shops....for some reason, I can't change the star rating....it should be zero. don't be stupid, do your research and get exactly what you want and pay for the first time. Check the registry!

This is not a certified sisterlock salon. These are knock offs. I got them down and they were a hot mess. Had to go to a certified sisterlock consultant to get them redone.

This is truly the best place for Sister locks! I have been twice and the experience is better and better! A nice relaxing atmosphere! Professional staff! They were able to work with the textures of my hair! Happy to be Nappy! Thanks Chrystal and crew!
