Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School enrolls students in grades six through eight. It offers a variety of academic courses, including English, mathematics, social studies, science and physical education. The school offers various guidance programs that include academic development, agency referrals, career exploration, group and classroom guidance sessions, and personal and social development. It additionally provides a range of supplies to students, which includes highlighters, metric rulers, protractors, pencil erasers, dividers, binders, colored pencils and markers. The school has a media center that stocks several academic books, newspapers, magazines, journals, encyclopedias and dictionaries. It is a part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and is located in Charlotte, N.C.
