Excellent food and service. The staff is very friendly and make you feel like home. I will recommend this please.

awesome atmosphere and great food

We decided on Japanese cuisine last night to celebrate our son's b'day. Since we were a group of 8 people, we thought making reservations would be the best way to go. We called one Japanese steakhouse in Charlotte and they couldn't do anything before 9 pm. We then called Kabuto's and they said they could do an 8:30 pm reservation. We opted for them since we had young children in the group and didn't want to have to wait too long. We got there at 8:25 pm to find the lobby filled to the max. We were not worried since we had made reservations. Hah! Were we in for a surprise? They told us we had to wait for a table to become available -- about 20-25 min. Well, we waited and waited and we saw large, empty tables being filled up by multiple smaller groups but they still wouldn't accommodate our group of 8. No amount of arguing with the hostess would convince her that we deserved some kind of preference over the walk-ins. They kept seating people right in front of us till the lobby started looking empty. Finally, around 9:10 pm, we got a table but the chef space was occupied by the chef for the next table and he had just got started. So, we had to wait another 20 minutes for our chef to get there. Needless to say, we were the last ones to leave the restaurant because we were probably the last ones that got served. No more Kabuto's for us! So much for making reservations!!

This location is very nice. I enjoyed every bite. My experience was so great at Kabutos I've recommended it to several friends and I visit every chance I get.
