Hawk Ridge Elementary School offers academic, athletic and extracurricular activities to more than 1,200 students in kindergarten through grade four. The school is a part of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and provides classes in language arts, fine arts, mathematics, social studies and technology. Hawk Ridge Elementary School has a library media center that offers a collection of books and Internet access. The school has a physical education department that provides classes in movement exploration, organized games, fundamental sports skills, and team sport, cooperative and recreational activities.
