      Founded in 1987, MUSC Children's Hospital is a provider of pediatric care services. It offers a range of neonatal surgical services for the repair of esophageal atresia, congenital diaphragmatic hernia and abdominal masses. The hospital specializes in various outpatient surgeries, such as umbilical hernia repair, breast mass excision, lymph node biopsy and central venous line removal. MUSC Children's Hospital also performs laparoscopic surgeries, including appendectomy and skin grafting. It operates a research institute that works to discover the causes and cures of cancer, blood disorders, congenital heart diseases and multiple sclerosis.
