Many patients find that bringing comfortable clothes, such as gym shorts, is preferable to wearing paper gowns when being seen for back, hip, or knee problems.

- Emergency CareWhen making an appointment, all patients will be asked questions regarding symptoms of COVID-19, such as if you have any of the following, including fever over 100.4 degrees F, cough, or difficulty breathing. PLEASE NOT COME TO THE OFFICE IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE SYMPTOMS. Instead, you should call your PCP for further treatment recommendations. If you do not have a PCP, contact an urgent care or emergency room. Patients will also be asked if they have had contact with anyone known to have, or suspected of having infection with COVID-19. Those patients will not be allowed to schedule for at least 2 weeks.
- Carpal Tunnel SyndromeAt our Houston orthopedic centers, we welcome patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, DeQuervain’s tenosynovitis, Dupuytren’s contracture, osteoporosis, hand, wrist and finger fractures, Colles fractures, thumb and wrist tendonitis, mallet finger and other upper extremity injuries, as well as patients who are experiencing nonspecific hand and wrist pain without an established diagnosis. - UltrasoundThai was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United states as a child and grew up in Memphis, TN and Houston, TX. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University of Dominguez Hills in 2003 with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. Subsequently, he went on to attend Physician Assistants School at the Western University of Health Science in Pomona, California. After graduating from PA School in 2006, he began his career at Advanced Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2007 with Dr. Alain Elbaz. While working with Dr. Elbaz, he focused on reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee. He also specializes in non-operative management of orthopedic injuries and osteoarthritis with musculoskeletal ultrasound guided injections.
- MRIAll new patients presenting for their first appointment must bring the CDs and reports of any x-ray or MRIs performed within the last 12 months. Information from the CD and report is vital in giving your physician a clear picture of your concerns. Note that if you cannot provide these items, additional x-rays or MRI may need to be ordered which may delay initiating your plan of care. Both items can be brought to your appointment or you may opt to bring the CD disc and have the report faxed from the imaging facility to 281-955-2200. Please make sure you retain your originals after these are loaded into the system.

We treat degenerative spine conditions, as well as acute neck and back pain caused by athletic injuries, car accidents and work-related incidents.
