By beware realtor is not upfront, does not return calls or texts, off puts blame, wants to condemn you the potential client, wants to make it seem like youre the problem and clearly facts are not straight on their properties for rent and this is before you even move in with this agency. So this is how the situation went as followsI text messaged her on Monday, January the 29th and she called back in literally 3 minutes and after a short discussion on the property, my permanent and terminally disability, our teen who is soon to be senior at Chapin HS and we would like to keep her here to finish. I overlooked the fact that in my text message please call at the earliest convenience and when she called she clearly had trouble managing her business and her children as one was screaming so loud in the background I could hear much of what was going on and at one she actually apologized not for the unprofessionalism but that her time was stretched thin and she many things going on at one time. At the end of the conversation I told her my wife would call and visit the next day, she said no problem. The next day I called and left 2 text messages and a voice mail; she returned neither. On Wednesday, January the 31st I left another text message 9 am and by 11 when I hadnt received anything in return I called the office and was told by the office manager she would get her to call. 20 minutes later she did indeed call back but pretended to not really remember me and supposedly we had only spoken just the day before and then she said stated I dont know what your deal is it has only been a day when in fact we had spoken more than 36 hours prior and at some length. She then denied receiving any texts or voicemails from me and stated that perhaps the issue is with me that perhaps I have some kind of mental impairment or memory issues since this never occurred to her. She then got huffy and stated she didnt like my attitude and that I should grateful I am even speaking to her now, that since I am not working (I am fully disabled and discussed this with her at length and that my wife is the main wage earner) she doesnt see how we can afford the property. She then told me that the property wasnt ready because the carpet was being cleaned; this after the website clearly states new carpet and a fresh paint job, she even stated this on the phone the other evening but again stated I must memory impairments and perhaps I should be looking elsewhere that will my specific health needs (as in my supposed mental problems). Again in closing here, not the most reputable or honest business around here in Chapin and you certainly dont want to rent from an agency to whom you will depend upon repairs down the road; nor would you want to be in my situation with serious health issues and be looked down upon for them. Further we live in the 21st century so why would it matter if only one wage earner lives in the house, theres more than enough income to provide and there proof to that so whos concern is it who makes what?
