On display are the creations of Rafael Garcia Gonzalez, gold-leaf-on-lacquer artisan of Patzcuaro, Michoacan and typical masks by Felipe de Jesus Horta Tera of Tocuaro, Michoacan. Some of the products on Puroarte.com include carved animals, plates and vases, masks, pottery figures and videos. Each carved animal represents the spirit or mystical force of the person who has dreamt or chosen it. Plates and vases display the art of laca painting, which refers to wooden objects, copper vessels and gourds painted in lacquer and then decorated with designs in gold leaf and artist's oils.
