South Side Elementary School offers various learning opportunities to students through its educational programs. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, language arts, mathematics, social science, fine arts and foreign languages. The school has a parent-teacher association that sponsors several activities, including fundraising, workshops and assemblies. South Side Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Each classroom within the school is equipped with computers that feature Internet access. It provides an accelerated reader program that is used to monitor and guide reading practices and help students with improving their reading skills. South Side Elementary School is a part of Champaign Community Unit School District 4 and is located in Champaign, Ill.
