Countryside School is an independent, nonprofit educational institution that serves students in kindergarten through grade eight. It provides classes in math, reading, literature, spelling formation, vocabulary building, foreign languages and science. The school also offers lessons in art, music, physical education and social studies. It provides a variety of athletic activities, such as volleyball, basketball and soccer. The school organizes various extracurricular activities, including band and choir programs and arts and crafts. Countryside School manages a staff of more than 30 teachers and administrative personnel. It offers after-school programs In addition, the school publishes a monthly newsletter that focuses on admission policies and other academic issues. Countryside School is located in Champaign, Ill.
