General Info
Whether you are feeling confused, alone, depressed, anxious, dealing with grief issues, relationship problems, or difficulty with children, counseling can offer insight and strategies to help overcome many problems. I use different modalities to suit individual needs. If you need help as soon as possible, I usually have a daytime appointment available. Holistic Approach-The body, mind, and spirit are all connected. If one of these is out of balance, it not only causes mental problems but can also manifest into physical problems such as pain or disease. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's Degree in Counseling at Shippensburg University. I completed post graduate work in family therapy from The Child Guidance Center of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I also trained under Belleruth Naparstek for Guided Imagery. I worked at agencies doing counseling as well as case management. Also, I worked with seniors suffering with dementia providing them as well as their families support. I worked at an alternative school for adjudicated adolescents as well as with the Probation Department. I did Drug and Alcohol evaluations at the county. I also worked at a Partial Hospitalization Unit working with the chronicallly mentally ill and did group therapy with Psychiatrists, which gave me vast experience in the mental health field. I have over 15 years of counseling experience. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, adults adolescences, and children. Some of the issues I have worked with are as follows: Anxiety, Co-Dependency, Chronic Pain, Couples Counseling, Depression, Divorce, Grief & Loss, Sexual Abuse, Self-Esteem, Parenting and Trama-PTSD.
