Founded in 1990, Cumberland Valley School of Music is a nonprofit institution that serves more than 600 students. It employs over 50 faculty members and is located in Chambersburg, Pa. The school offers programs to play several musical instruments, such as flute, violin, trumpet, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, and other orchestral and band instruments. It also offers classes in theatrical techniques. The school provides a range of outreach programs for community centers and public and private schools. It also organizes musical concerts, dance shows, award assemblies and talent recitals. Its scholarship programs are based on financial needs and merits. Cumberland Valley School of Music operates a store that provides an array of musical CDs and accessories, including valve oil, strings, reeds and stands.
