- The St. Bernard Port is comprised of four (4) main terminals that include the Arabi Terminal and Slip, the Chalmette Terminal and Intermodal Facility, the Meraux midstream Buoys and the Violet Terminal and Docks. The Terminals all provide ready access to interstate I-510, I-10 and I-610 all within 10 miles. The Terminals also have access to all six (6) of the nation’s class 1 railroads and is served by Norfolk Southern Railroad. The Mississippi River provides water access to the Industrial Canal, Intra-coastal waterway, and the Gulf of Mexico.- Equipped with the most sophisticated surveillance and monitoring technology available today - Cargo off-loaded at the Port is transported to cities across the nation by barges, rail cars, and trucks - Over 7.3 million tons of cargo managed in 2015. - Industrial Park - •Located one mile downriver from the Arabi Terminal (mile 89.5 AHP). •Encompasses 216 acres of land. •More than 1.8 million square feet of building space. •70 acres of open land available for leasing. •Fully equipped with electricity, high pressure natural gas, water, and sewerage. •Intermodal facilities with access via truck, rail, and ship. •60 acre intermodal facility open and leased by Boasso America. •Midstream vessel mooring on Mississippi River adjacent to business park. •Over 45 businessis employing 800 operate inside of Park. •Close proximity to Interstate system via I-510

The Port’s mission is to create jobs and provide economic development having a positive impact on St. Bernard Parish and its citizens. The Port has been successful at facilitating commerce by partnering with federal agencies, participating in state funding programs and all in conjunction with private businesses. The Port, its Board of Commissioners and I will continue to pursue opportunities to encourage growth and future success for the Port and the citizens of our community
