Cerritos Library is operated by the local government of the city of Cerritos. The library, based in Cerritos, Calif., provides a large collection of fiction and nonfiction books, business materials, and a special language collection of books, newspapers and magazines. Its adult services division provides various programs and facilities, including authors' presentations, classes on research databases, intranet and an electronic catalog. The library s computer workstations offer high-speed Internet access and a large selection of research databases, including a variety of articles from more than 1,800 general reference, business, consumer health, science and multicultural periodicals. Additionally, the library has an archives division that holds newspapers and periodicals on microfiche and microfilm. Its other facilities include reference Web sites selected by library s information professionals and interlibrary loan facility. The library s young people services department offers various programs, clubs and contests for teenagers. Its circulation department provides memberships and issues library cards.
