A Pineywoods Home Health Care, Inc began in 1992 as the idea of Dr. Neal Naranjo, who saw a need in the East Texas community for quality health care for his parents. His desire to find caring and qualified nurses for his family transformed into a company that provides their community with affordable health care from qualified nurses. With a goal of ensuring that One Call Does It All! the Naranjos founded A Pineywoods Home Medical Equipment in April, 1998, to provide quality durable medical equipment and supplies. This was followed by A Pineywoods Home Services, Inc., in August 1998, to provide home-maker and nursing services through contracts with the State of Texas. To demonstrate A Pineywoods continued commitment to excellence, the three Medicare companies received accreditation from the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) that continually reviews and revises the standards of excellence to ensure quality care. In recognition of A Pineywoods efforts in the East Texas Business Community, the Better Business Bureau awarded the A Pineywoods family of companies the 2009 Torch Award for marketplace ethics for large businesses.
