Been shopping at Heinrich's for 20 plus years. Never a bad experience. Employees are always helpful but not overly friendly. I am surprised reading many of these comments. The business is for sale. Maybe the new owners will make some changes that will suit the public.

So disappointed in the owners of this store. It's only "good" because there isn't any real alternative. The store is old, dirty, and cluttered with junk. They have so much inventory in the back the staff can't find it when you want it. The employees are terrified of the owners. I have been a first hand witness of the owner screaming at an employee who went to her for clarification on a question I asked. Today, the owner refused to bend the policy on edible transfers that I was unaware of-- wanted to charge me $30 for two transfers but only $8 if I came back in two days. I explained that the store was a long way from me, that I was unaware of the policy, they were not busy, and I have spent a lot of money in that store over the last year (I'm a start up baker and have bought many many many of my supplies there and taken several classes.) and asked her for some consideration. She was abrupt, more than unfriendly, refused. These owners do not like their customers-- the lavatory has a sign in it: "We don't have to let you use our bathroom so you better clean it up and we're watching you" Seriously? I know people can be slobs but dealing with the public you have to expect some of that and there is certainly a better more tactful way of conveying that message. The store is "decorated" with signs that impress me as owners who are burned out and just tired of dealing with the public, and it's obvious their employees are not happy people. The classroom is horrible. The place smells bad. Won't be going back. Online shopping seems to me my best option.

love this place! been going for yrs. I have also used one of the ladies (lil) to make a few birthday cakes and they are great! Fair prices and good people who can help :-)

This place has an excellent selection of cake decorations and candy supplies. More often than not, tho', you can't find a sales person that is willing to help you. Perhaps the lady I spoke with was having a bad day, but she really shouldn't be taking it out on the customers. Prices aren't too terrible, but the staff needs work.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Heinrichs a number of times this past year. What I have always found is a store that is clean, well lit and extremely well stocked. the selection is unbelievable! I went to purchase some Christmas sugars within one week for Christmas and found better than what I had ever seen on my side of town! However, my praise does not stop with inventory. Everytime I go I seem to have a question and the employees are always ready to help. They have gone so far as to suggest ways to save money by combining colors for my spray instead of purchasing many unneeded colors. These same employees have helped me in my selection of various shimmers for some of my cakes. How very nice to go to a store with pleasant employees and great selection. Heinrichs has helped me expand my creativity - now if only they could tell me how to suck the calories from my creations!!

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, I wouldn't go anywhere else for my candy making needs
