Valenta Plumbing was founded in 1950 when Frank Valenta Senior, purchased the assets of Kubias Plumbing. Frank Valenta Junior joined the new family enterprise-establishing a succession of family ownership that continues to today. Frank Senior and Frank Junior learned the plumbing trade the hard way-on the job, through hours of hard labor. For their efforts, the company grew to 6 men and 5 trucks, setting up shop in downtown Cedar Rapids at 413 2nd Avenue Southeast, next to the old Papa Juan's location.As Frank Valenta Junior's family grew, as a rite of passage, he introduced his boys, one-by-one into the business. First came Jim, who earned his keep at the end of a push broom. Then came Tom and Ron who took on the less glamorous (but character-building) tasks like lugging iron pipe, digging trenches, and categorizing parts. Over time, all three Valenta brothers advanced their skills, learning the plumbing trade-first as apprentices, then as journeymen.Today, Valenta Plumbing is still staffed with two Valenta brothers-the third generation of Valenta leadership. Both brothers are Master plumbers, a rank that spheaks to their knowledge and experience. Zak Valenta (Tom Valenta's son), has joined the team-advancing Valenta Plumbing into their fourth generation. The Valenta family is joined by other journeyman plumbers who are the best in the trade.As other plumbing companies have come and gone over the years, Valenta Plumbing continues to serve families and business in eastern Iowa.

If this is same co., helped load a 36" almond fiberglass shower in to trunk of '76 Cadillac Coupe D'Ville- drove to Marion,IA. Miracle.

My husband and I have used Valenta for jobs both large and small. Ron, our main plumber quickly evaluated our situation and wasted not time completing the needed work. Best of all, "no leaks," and they even came in under budget! We trust this business and would call them in the future.

I hired Valenta plumbing to assist with my in-laws bathroom remodeling project complete with ADA compliant toilet by Toto, which they love. My in-laws had never remodeled their home before. My Father-in-law was having a total knee replacement surgery and we wanted a walk in shower with grab bars, hand sprayer and also replaced the vanity. Plus, had them plumb to eventually move the washer and dryer upstairs. Valenta's staff and installer were absolutely exceptional. Not only were they prompt, but also very conscientious about my in-laws home. The best part is they found problems that would've turned quite costly. Even after fixing the upexpected plumbing problems, they still came in under their bid. I would highly recommend Valenta's Plumbing. We wouldn't use anyone else!

I hired Valenta plumbing to replace my sink and they were very prompt, friendly, professional and clean cut. The price was reasonable. Would definitely hire them again.

On time and on budget! I called the day before and got a free estimate over the phone.

Great service, easy to work with. Called the day before, got a free estimate (range of cost) and it was right in the middle. Two other places wanted to charge, nearly $40.00 for an estimate! Would use again if I needed someone to do plumbing work that I wasn't going to do myself. Very professional and a job well done. Coordinated with well with city, to make sure they were not waiting on the water department to show up.
