I found Hurych in the Czech Village. I knew I needed plumbing work and like to stay local. I spoke with the owner, who agreed to come out and fix a leaky faucet and a toilet tank that ran after flushing, plus look at my garbage disposer that is jammed or needs to be replaced or something.We set up the appointment for a week later. A few days before the appointment, a water main broke down the street from me. We were without water for three hours and when the water came back on, the downstairs bathroom was messed up: no hot water in the shower and no running water whatsoever in the vanity. I let them know that the day before the appointment.Guy, Kevin, who claims to be owner's son, comes in, he looks at the downstairs bathroom, he looks at the upstairs bathroom and...will not work on it. At first he says, I'm just being honest with you, I don't have the supplies to fix the upstairs problems. OK, that's fine, although that's not what his "dad" had said during the initial visit when I said the fixtures were original in this old house. Then I say - what about downstairs. HE WILL NOT WORK ON THAT EITHER!! He gives zero reason. Then: wait, he says, call my pals at Master Plumbing - they can fix all these problems. Then he left.Do you get it? Hurych doesn't DO any plumbing. They certainly did none today. They're clearly getting a kickback from their Master Plumbing friends. While it didn't cost me any money - we haven't been able to take a shower at home for 5 days now and had they been truthful from the beginning, I could have gotten another company to come in and fix the emergency.
