Founded in 1973, the Cedar Park Police Department, operated by the city of Cedar Park, Texas, provides life protection and crime prevention services. The Cedar Park Police Department operates operations and support services bureau and specialty unit divisions. It also has traffic enforcement, warrant and K-9 patrol units. The department s divisions manage community programs and special investigations. The Cedar Park Police Department s support services bureau includes criminal investigation, victim and community services, public safety communication, police record and animal control units. In addition, it has special response and crisis negotiation teams, as well as honor guard. The Cedar Park Police Department has more than 50 police officers.
