The kennels are always clean and so is the yard. I always know if my boarders are low on food or supplements. They know I have to get the dogs exposure so I am allowed to pick them up on their closed day to take them to the adoption events and bring them back so long as I am there by the time they are leaving. My mom and dad have also boarded and had their dogs groomed here and are always pleased. They have groomed my boarders before the events as well and I am always happy with the results. I cannot say enough well about Melissa and her staff. I love them and I feel so reassured knowing my rescue babies are well cared for and loved at the times I am not able to care for them myself! Thank you ladies 5 stars.
I will not name names because I don't believe in damaging a business on just an opinion. Anyway, these girls buy my dogs treats with their own money and love on them, giving them the needed attention a rescue dog always needs as much as they can. I make myself at home here when I go see our dogs. I go back in the back, talk to the kennel staff take my own dogs out bring them back in. I am always welcome.
Depending on how long it takes for them to get adopted or a foster home opens up. Since we hate to board our dogs I try to take some of the stress away and visit OFTEN. I will go visit these dogs 3 to 4 times a week. I let them out to exercise, love on them and bring them treats. I ALWAYS feel welcome and the girls here are THE most caring, loving girls I know in this business. Let me clarify, this is not the only boarding facility we have had to use. One of the top facilities in the Dallas area we use on a regular basis also. As well as one a little further out.
Melissa Sibley, also having lots of experience in dog rescue, has been so caring in helping me when I am in a pinch and need a place for my rescue babies to lay their heads. We have had dogs in there for a week, 2 weeks, and several months.
I have lived in the Desoto Cedar Hill area since I was 5 years old and I have seen many changes. Some good, some not so good. I would like to just give an honest review of some of the business's that keep me believing that my hometown still has wonderful people in it! I help run a 501c3 Non profit dog rescue. We DO NOT like to board our dogs. However, it is necessary sometimes. When we do, we go to Camp Wagalot Kennels.
Love these girls. I help run a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue and have to board dogs here sometimes. Although we don't like to board our dogs sometimes we have to and I have never had one problem at this kennel. Actually, the dogs always leave in much better spirits than when they went in! I am always welcome to visit the dogs and make myself at home to take them out to the pen to run some energy out and love on them. Always clean and always friendly. I have seen some great animal loving girls who's heart is in the right place here that you don't find at other boarding places. Thank you ladies!

I have been bringing my dogs to Camp Wag a Lot for serveral years and always will go back. I'm unsure of why anyone would downgrade one of the only boarding facilities that are actual animal lovers. They've went further than most pet places I've been to. Wether you're there for grooming or boarding, each and every person tries to make sure you're helped. The only thing that has bothered me is the owner. I've heard her talk to her employees as if they were worth the dirt on her shoe. Besides her I've never been unhappy and neither has my dog :)

HORRIBLE PLACE ? My daughter did not read the reviews before boarding her beloved pet at this facility. Based on her experience with their grooming she thought this was a great place to leave her dog for seven days. I came back early from our trip and was not aware you could not pick up your pet on Sunday, So, I went on Sunday to pick him up. I happen to see an employee in the yard so I asked if I could see my dog. She was reluctant about letting me see him so I panicked and demanded she let me see him. She brought him out to the fence and I almost fainted. He was covered in feces and as he was running out feces was coming out of his rear end, his face was matted with what she said was tears, his eyes were half open like he was exhausted and he seemed disoriented. This was like coming to pick up a child from a daycare provider unannounced and finding out how they really treat your child. The next day I talked to the owner and she was furious. Her exact words were ?the fool who let you see your dog was stupid.? I was floored by her comment. I advised her that I had not told my daughter about the condition of her dog because she was still out of town and I did not want to cause her anxiety about a situation she could do nothing about. The owner chose to call my daughter and attack her also. We requested a bath before picking up our dog. When we picked him up he still smelled like feces. Remember we loved their grooming. But however we have never brought him in covered in feces. If I had not witnessed his condition the day before I would have had no idea why he smelled so bad. We cannot take back the abuse apparently our pet went through for seven days but we can try to prevent other people from the guilt and heartache that comes with a poor decision. HORRIBLE PLACE.

I'm a huge fan of Camp Wagalot. My dog is a family member that is cherished, and she loves to go to Wagalot. It speaks volumes that she likes to go there. The staff are friendly and genuinely care about animals, and I trust that they will always do the right thing for my precious pet!!
