I was not impressed with Laird Campbell. He came into my home with an attitude that was unpleasant and his method of tuning was not all that impressive. He is not a RPT from the Piano Technicians Guild. He tuned the first strings (all middle strings) with an electronic instrument instead of tuning them with methods by ear, which is what I prefer. He then tuned the other strings by ear to match the middle. He told us that he would come back and do a second tuning because our piano was so out of tune and that the first would only be a $15 tuning. He actually ended up doing both tunings at the same time, which I really didn't like because he now has stretched the strings so tight that the tuning won't be a good solid tuning and it will need it again really soon. I do not recommend his work or services to anyone that wants a good, quality tuning.
