David Rabady, M.D., a retina specialist, just completed his vitreo-retinal surgery fellowship at Associates in Ophthalmology (AIO) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Dr. Rabady’s residency in ophthalmology was completed at Nassau University Medical Center Department of Ophthalmology, where he was chief resident. Dr. Rabady earned his medical degree and completed his internship in internal medicine at Albany Medical College. He also completed his undergraduate studies at State University of New York at Albany, where he graduated summa cum laude. While completing his fellowship training at AIO, Dr. Rabady participated in several clinical trials for new medical and surgical treatments pending FDA approval for macular, retina, and diabetic conditions. Dr. Rabady treats various retina diseases such as macular degeneration, macular pucker, diabetic retinopathy, flashes and floaters, retinal detachments, as well as numerous other diseases and conditions of the posterior segment of the eye. Dr. Rabady has received many awards including Albany Medical College Excellence in Ophthalmology Award, Albany Medical College Professionalism Award, Dean’s List S.U.N.Y Albany (all 4 years), Golden Key International Honor Society, and the Albany Medical College Volunteer of the Year. Dr. Rabady has presented many papers and has many publications in the field of retina. He has volunteered in many academic society programs where he has served as community service chair and trainer. He also participated in various organizations responsible for exposing students to the field of ophthalmology. Dr. Rabady has volunteered his time and participated in missions to remote areas with limited access to healthcare in Jordan. He is fluent in several languages including English, Spanish and Jordanian.
