Great place with hospitable help, a nice selection on the taps, and decent pub fare and pizza. Oh yeah, and there is pool!

If you are amongst the very luckiest of visitors to New England and happen to double your blessings with a visit to Castine, Maine then a stop into Danny Murphy's on Sea St is a must. The building owner has taken great pains to restore and rejuvenate the entire structure to include a good old fashioned "do over" of its bottom space which for many years was known as "The Reef". The combination of old bricks and fixtures from days of yore and a few contemporary touches such as lighted glass blocks in the bar and all new restrooms makes for a pleasing feast to the eye. Bernie, the manager offers a selection of local micro brews to tempt travelers thirsts with a very small list of pub food favorites. All in all - a very enjoyable place. Good luck, Bernie!
